Volunteer Opportunities

At ROCC, there are many ways that you can get involved in serving. Below you will find a brief description of the Sunday morning ministry teams that can use your expertise or gifts. For each ministry, volunteers are one on a rotating schedule and generally serve once every quarter. Prayerfully consider where God may be calling you to serve and get connected today!

Sunday Morning Volunteer Needs:

Do you enjoy preparing and serving refreshments? Then look no more...this is the team for you! The Hospitality Team provides beverages and light snacks to enjoy as people socialize and connect on Sundays. 
 
Do you love being around enthusiastic children? Do you want to be a part of an energetic ministry that touches the lives of hundreds of children each week? We have a place for you at Kids ROCC! We need both adult and youth volunteers to serve in this ministry, and we have a wide variety of roles. If you can do set-up and clean-up work, stock shelves, act, teach, encourage, or work a sound board, then there's a place for you in this ministry. 
 

Are you a trained professional (e.g. doctor, nurse, EMT, etc.)? This team provides certified medical personnel to assist those with medical emergencies during our worship services, until an EMT arrives. 
 
Do you enjoy preschool children and desire to teach them about the love of Christ? Then you have come to the right ministry. Our job is to provide a safe and loving environment where our children can experience the love of Christ and grow intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually.  
 

Do you like giving directions? This team directs parking lot traffic to ensure a timely ingress and egress of vehicles with the least amount of congestion. 
 
Do you enjoy praying for and helping others? In this ministry, you can do both! This team offers prayer support and encouragement by mature Christians. Team members will pray for others in the Prayer Room and in the front of the Worship Auditorium Sunday mornings. 
 
Are you interested in ensuring that ROCC is a safe place to visit? Then look no more! The security team provides a "watchful eye" in all the areas of the church as an added measure of safety before, during, and after services.  
 

During both Sunday morning services we offer Sunday school classes for grades K-2 and 3-6. If you enjoy teaching children about God in a classroom setting, we'd love to have you join our team. Curriculum is provided. 
 
If you enjoy being with teenagers and would like to teach them in a classroom setting and Godly environment, we have a place for you! Sunday school classes are offered during the 1st Service for grades 7-8 and 9-12. Curriculum is provided.
 

Are you a "people" person? Do you enjoy talking with others and helping them find their way around? You have found the perfect place to serve! Our usher team greets, welcomes visitors, directs people, hands out bulletins, assists with seating, supports communion, and counts the offering.
 
Are you an outgoing person who is enthusiastic about the way that God is working in the lives of people ar ROCC? Then working in this ministry may be the perfect place for you! Our job is to interact with visitors and members, answer questions, guide people to various locations in the building, and do whatever we can to assist the people that God brings through our doors each week.
