Purpose:
To facilitate River Oaks in fulfilling the "Great Commission" by helping everyone get involved in local, international and short-term missions.

We do this by:

• Supporting ministries that reach out to those in need
• Planning short-term trips to work with our International Missionaries at various times during the year
• Having mission conferences periodically
• Providing a forum for our missionaries when they visit River Oaks to share about their ministry, and
• Being good stewards of the funds provided for missions.

Our desire is to be passionate for enlarging God's kingdom throughout the world; to be "Global" in our missions.

The VISION of River Oaks Community Church is:

"To REACH those who do not know our Lord Jesus Christ with the Gospel, to BUILD devoted and equipped followers of Jesus, and to SEND God's people into the world to serve with compassion and conviction."

The Missions & Outreach Team will seek to implement this vision by:

• Relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance and God's provision
• Seeking God first through prayer in all that we do
• Identifying the persons that can best carry out God's plan
• Seeking to carry out the "Great Commission"
• Caring for the poor, orphans, widows and displaced persons
• Developing a heart of compassion in the people of ROCC for reaching others with the gospel
• Providing opportunities for people to develop their spiritual gifts by serving with local, short term and/or long term missions
• Developing a desire in the people at ROCC to tithe and give offerings for missions
